Location
- You reach our cottage by traveling North on US Route 1 through Thomaston,
Me. At the Montpelier mansion, on the North side of town, take state
road 131 to the right leading onto the Port Clyde Peninsula. You
will go approximately 12 miles through the towns of St. George and Tenants
Harbor. Three miles beyond Tenants Harbor you will reach the "Welcome
to Martinsville" sign on the left hand side of the road. Take your
second left after the Martinsville sign "Hupper Lane". Go down the
dirt road 1/4 mile. It is the gray cottage on the right, across from
the dock.
Description
- The cottage is located on Mosquito Harbor with water frontage.
The cottage has an all electric kitchen with all utensils, combined living
room, bath and 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with twin
beds. The cottage is 24 x 24. It has a franklin wood stove, and wood
is furnished. You will need to bring sheets and towels. The
dock is off limits to children, unless accompanied by an adult.
Area
- Driftend Beach is only 1 mile away. Stores, tennis court and restaurants
are all nearby in Tenants Harbor and Port Clyde. In Port Clyde you
can take the ferry to Monhegan Island. You are only 12 miles from
Rockland and 18 miles from famous Camden.
Conditions
- No dogs please. We would like to know who to expect and ask that
you limit your family to four or less. We ask that you take good care of
our cottage and its equipment. Check in time is 2:00 p.m. Saturday,
and check out time is 10:00 a.m. the following Saturday.
Deposit
- The rent for the cottage is $700.00 per week. A deposit of half
the amount is due when you rent the cottage, and the balance is due on
arrival. Deposit is non-refundable unless cottage can be re-rented. Off
season rates are available. |
